The Legacies Grow Stronger and Travel Over the World

Today a special date is marked in Flavors of Mexican Cuisine's history. The creator of this project is leaving the nest and opening his wings on the wind to take with him the best of the history, roots, legacies and experiences of the Mexican Family and share everything with Brazil.

Back in the summer of 2008, Emmanuel Prieto started the project from a long time dream his mother had, and thanks to the support and guidance of great masters in tourism industry and Mexican gastronomy, who filled him with inspiration and pride, this became a reality that, everyday, is getting bigger and stronger.

This is why Flavors of Mexican Cuisine is, as we stand for and share it with every one of you, A Project of family and friends bonded together with our great passion for Mexican Gastronomy.

Without his dedication, the countless hours of working in front of the computer, and, above all, his travels and the people who supported him and encourage him to pursue this path, Flavors of Mexican Cuisine wouldn't be here. I want thank him for every hour, and every minute of love, dedication and devotion to this project tha talways will be his.

Those of us with the honor and pleasure of being by his side as guide and support for his dreams, his professional and personal goals, are very proud of this big step he is taking and we want to let him know that, no matter the place or time, come what may, we're still going to be by his side.

It's not easy, as a mother, knowing that, for a yet undetermined time, the one that made possible the biggest of my dreams, won't be here, won't be nearby. But I'm telling him that, even when tears are flowing from my eyes uncontrollably, I feel deeply happy to know that he found the way for his live to be full and that he is doing everything that is necessary to grow as a human being.

Not only his knowledge of Mexican gastronomy will make him succeed and conquer Brazil. That tender, sweet, understanding and, above it all, loyal person that he is, will be definitive for making that, everyone who have the joy of knowing him, will want to be with him forever... just as we do.

And I'm grateful for the answer he gave just a few days ago to a new friend, after he was asked if we would be coming back. "Of course I'm coming back." –he said. "Here is where my family is, where my people and my friends are. This is where my country is". I pray to God that he never forgets that.

My son, my friend, my partner... I wish you the best of luck in this adventure in Brazil.

With all my Love,

Your Mother
Elsie Mendez
